When one builds a too complex solutions, for whatever reason, this solution will be harder to maintain and might be harder to adjust later on.
Even though engineering is fun and one wants to have a good solution it’s better to sometimes quickly iterate to find discovered work.
You are unable to know what is needed in the future, especially in a startup context where pivots are more common and sometimes necessary. Your energy is better spent somewhere else.
