Rolling stats for player characters is unfair. It could create strong characters that do awesome things too many times and have a change to routinely break the boundaries of a game whilst other players are stuck playing as subpar character that struggles to do these epic things.

As Rolling stats is fun, there might be ways to equalise, take the following tip for example.

Everyone roll stats, party picks one

Let every party member roll stats. You as the DM could VETO or remove a set if necessary.

When the sets are done, Ask players which set they want. This set will be the array for every character henceforth.
