When you interrupt your focus or focus time it’s a struggle to regain that same focus. It is from the utmost importance to kill these productivity killers.

Some productivity killers are

  • Reddit
  • Youtube
  • A lot of non time important communication
    • Most meetings
    • Most emails
    • Most instant messages
  • Games, especially ‘quick’ and ‘small’ games.

As interruptions are productivity killers, the biggest offenders are the so-called time-wasters. These are activities that have none to almost no benefit to your work, productivity or even psyche and can be cut out of your life without consequences.

When we cut out useful or necessary interruptions like some form of communication, it is important to keep the affected people informed and manage their expectations.
