When you’re starting out as an entrepreneur, be it solo or not, you should not go all-in immediately.

When you test the waters you will know if the business, idea or lifestyle will be in the cards for you as a person. When you fail to be excited about working on your own business, you might not want to continue as it’s most likely a hard job.

This should be applied to all walks of life, for example in role-playing you want to test boss fights before going all in on your BBEG fight.

First, test the waters: don’t quit your day job to slave 100-hour weeks, but rather gauge your enthusiasm by squeezing in a few hours each week to work on your idea. You don’t need to take on crippling amounts of debt either; just use whatever facilities and equipment you have at your disposal or can easily afford.
